Looking to sell? Would you like to add 10% to the value of your property? We can do that for you!
Designed to Sell is a homestaging company, operating in the Essex area. We stage your home in order to add to the value of your property, and sell it quickly!
When you are selling your house, it is important to show the property off to its best potential. Home Staging is the process of de-cluttering, arranging furniture, adding colour and arranging the space so buyers can visualise what a house has to offer, and what it would be like for them to live in such a beautiful home. Homestaging improves the appeal of a property – enhancing the space and making it brighter and more inviting – in order to add value to your property, and reduce the time a property remains on the market.
Most people can’t visualise a space other than how it is presented to us, which is why properties can achieve, on average, a 10% higher sale price when dressed.
Dressing and styling will make the difference between eventually achieving an acceptable offer, and quickly achieving the highest price for your property. It may cost you nothing – a simple de-clutter and cleaning can sometimes be all you need. But there may be some financial investment – i.e. painting, minor repairs, furniture rental, storage costs and improving the garden and plants to give potential buyers an idea of how they will be able to utilise the space.
So, if you are looking to sell your home quickly, and would like to add value to your property, drop us an email on the contact form or call us – and we can discuss how Designed to Sell can help you, or your clients, achieve a quick sale and relax into their new homes.

Jackie is based in Upminster, Essex. She has always had a strong interest in art and design, studying art at school, and then doing a degree in Design Studies, where she attained a 2:1. (Hons)
Her initial career was as a graphic designer, focusing on event branding, marketing materials and publications for financial houses, studios and publishing house in London. She worked for over 20 years as a designer at various businesses.
More recently, while working Jackie studied Interior Design under Louise’s tuition, and gained a Distinction in City and Guilds Level 3 Interior Design. She also studied a short Home Staging course with Louise. Initially this was for personal interest, but after finding that she loved it so much, Jackie made plans to leave her position in the City, to pursue her career in Homestaging.
Louise and Jackie started Designed to Sell in 2018, and Jackie completed the International Association of Home Staging Professionals (IAHSP) training to become one of their first Accredited Staging Professionals in Europe. She has also studied with Liv Conlon of The Property Stagers and passed the Staging Business Accelerator course. She is a professional member of the Home Staging Association UK & Ireland (HSA).
Louise initially studied Interior Design and gained various qualifications in this field. She worked on many private design projects whilst continuing her studies. As well as Interior Design, Louise has also studied Feng Shui, and found that she has a real passion for it.
She went into teaching City and Guilds Interior Design, which she loved and did this for nearly 14 years. Whilst teaching Interior Design, Louise also wrote and created a Feng Shui in Interior Design course, which she also taught. Another course that Louise devised was Home Styles through the ages, that looked at historic design styles such as Georgian, Victorian and Art Deco and showed how these styles could be recreated in homes today.
Alongside her teaching, Louise studied with Ann Maurice ‘The House Doctor’ and learnt about home staging, which she then went on to teach at her college. Although no longer teaching, Louise has a passion for interior design, Feng Shui and homestaging, so Designed to Sell was started with her business partner Jackie (an ex pupil) in 2018.
